Yggdrasil announces new publishing division; unveiling the new option at ICE London 2020

Top-rated online gaming solutions provider, Yggdrasil, has announced a new Publishing division, a way to allow customers to create their own B2B gaming business. Customers will essentially have everything they need to build, create and offer their own business. The Publishing division is part of the company’s new strategic approach as Yggdrasil looks to franchise their entire business, from the content portfolio to gamification and platform technology.

Moving Forward:

As they become a franchise, Yggdrasil will enable partners of the brand to create their own end-to-end online gaming product that will be supported and offered in partnership with Yggdrasil Publishing. Customers can then license their product via the provider’s eco-system.

According to a recent press release…

Head of Publishing, Björn Krantz, commented on the new publishing business by stating Yggdrasil is excited to showcase the new option. It will “give operators, studios and suppliers all the tools, tech and knowledge to take control of their content production and distribution and create unique player experiences.

Krantz stated further that the new global licensing business is ground-breaking and significantly changes the company’s as well as the industry’s approach to content creation along with publishing and distribution. Krantz will be on hand during the upcoming ICE London in February to provide more insight into the new Publishing business.

Core Value Propositions:

For the new Publishing sector, the business will have three core value propositions. These are:

  • YG Franchise (focused on platform IP licensing)
  • YG Masters (focused on game development and distribution)
  • YG Game IP (Focused on IP licensing)

The news of the Publishing business comes at a time when Yggdrasil is expanding their offering. In early January, the brand was approved by the Isle of Man Supervision Commission for certification. With the new approval, the developer now has eight B2B licenses.
